The Rite Duo, formed by pianists Marco Rinaudo and Stefano Visintainer, began his chamber music career in 2020 on the occasion of a project dedicated to the four-handed piano version of the Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky and inspired by this imposing masterpiece of the '900 for the choice of the name of the ensemble.
The Rite Duo is actively engaged in a series of projects on the vast repertoire for the piano four hands and two pianos among which stand out "The Music of the Scandal", dedicated to the Ballets Russi "Le Sacre du Printemps" by Stravinsky and "Parade" by Satie, the concert "Suggestions: Dancing the Images", an evocative and dynamic programme, with evocative tracks such as Schumann’s "Bilder aus Osten" and Brahms’s "Walzer op.39" and the project "Of fountains and puppets", the result of the research of four-handed piano repertoire of Italian composers of the '80s of the '800s and operating in the early '900s, such as Casella with the "Pupazzetti op.27" and the "Fountains of Rome" by Respighi. The latter program has also become a recording reality and is available on major music streaming channels.
The Rite Duo regularly performs in various concert venues in Italy and abroad with concerts in Portugal, Spain, Ireland and other European countries.
Marco Rinaudo was born in 1983 in Trento, where he graduated in piano with distinction at the Conservatory F.A. Bonporti. At the same conservatory Marco received the master title with highest marks. He attended the International Academy TEMA in Milan for the contemporary chamber music course with Prof. Antonio Ballista, which he graduated with 100/100. He has participated in numerous national and international competitions such as "Città di Albenga" (Albenga, Italy), "Città di Cesenatico" (Cesenatico, Italy) and "Giulio Rospigliosi"(Lamporecchio, Italy) both as a soloist and in chamber music settings. With the Duo Granato he won the international prize "Premio Città di Padova" as first Italian chamber music ensemble, the second prize in the category chamber music at the "International Competition G.Zinetti" in Sanguinetto (VR) and was qualified as semi-finalist in the "Boulder International Chambermusic competition" in Boulder (Colorado - USA). Marco was very much involved in further education and participated in masterclasses with pianists such as M. Damerini, J. Achùcarro, L. De Barberiis, N.P. Masi, B.Lupo, F.Scala, L.Margarius, A.Cohen. He played for various concert events such as Sala Aperta, Invito all'Ascolto, Concerti della Domenica, Festival Musica 900, PergineSpettacoloAperto, Mondi Sonori, Trento Estate, Estate in Musica, Classic and More, Forum Musik di Caldaro and many more, and with the duo Granato Marco performed in many Italian cities such as Venice, Padua, Genoa, Rovereto, Trento, Bolzano and many others.
Born in Trento (Italy) in 1991, he graduated in piano with the highest honours at the Trento Conservatory F.A. Bonporti. He has taken part in piano competitions from an early age. After obtaining the 1st prize at the Coppa giovani pianisti competition, he won several awards including the 2nd prize at the Città di Cesenatico competition, the 2nd prize at the Giulio Rospigliosi competition, the 1st prize at the Città di Bucchianico competition and the 1st prize at the international competition Music without limits held in Lithuania. During his studies, he attended several Masterclasses, having the opportunity to play for renowned pianists as Lilya Zilberstein, Leonid Margarius, Andrea Lucchesini, Boris Petrushansky. In July 2014 he had the honour to perform at the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Festival held in San Bernardo di Rabbi (Italy) and to have lesson with the acclaimed Michelangeli's pupil Jörg Demus. He has also studied and played concerts for two years in Spain at the Conservatorio Superior de Vigo. He played in several theatres, giving many recitals as a soloist in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Lithuania, and also in several chamber ensembles appearing in important concert seasons and events like Società Filarmonica and Teatro Sociale in Trento, Badia Festival in Bolzano, Auditorio Martín Códax in Vigo (Spain), Alto Minho Festival (Portugal). In 2018 he furthered his studies getting the Chamber Music Master Degree at the Conservatory of Trento. Recently was finalist at Silvio Bengalli International Piano Competition after a selection of 17 pianist out of 50 from all over the world. He also won the “Bronze Hands” Prize at Carles and Sofia Piano competition 2021. He is currently professor of piano and coordinator of the piano department at the Fernandes Fão Academy in Portugal and recently graduated in piano performance with the Maestro Roberto Cappello at the Accademia del Ridotto in Italy. He also dedicates his interest to pedagogy, studying for a Master's degree in music education at the Catholic University of Porto.
